Tips On Card Use (FAQs)
Your CAD Hotels.com (Canada) Gift Card should provide an enjoyable shopping experience at participating ca.hotels.com locations. Use of your Gift Gard will be facilitated by the following Tips On Card Use which are designed to address Frequently Asked Questions. Click on the title to reveal the tip.
Remember that your Gift Card is issued by the Card Issuer. For information about the Card Issuer, see Card Issuer.
Remember that your Gift Card is subject to terms and conditions that govern its use (the "Card Terms"). For the complete set of terms and conditions, see Full Gift Card Terms.
Card Issuer reserves the right, to the extent permitted by law, to modify these Terms at any time in its discretion for the limited purposes (a) to modify the scope and nature of Eligible Purchases which may change from time to time, (b) to clarify the scope and nature of limitations on use; (c) to describe courses of action in the event the Gift Card Program is terminated, (d) to clarify existing terms and conditions, such as adding purchase methods or in respect of our responsibilities or obligations under these Terms or your responsibilities under these Terms, or (e) to address changes in information such as links; provided, however, that changes shall not include (i) changes that are adverse to the consumer with respect to existing cards at the time of the change, (ii) changes adding an expiration date, (iii) changes applying new fees regarding the use or non-use of the gift cards, or (iv) a change to this Change in Terms clause (collectively, “Changes”). These changes will be made at mycardterms.com/hotels-canada. Notice of Changes will be provided at the Cardholder Notices tab on mycardterms.com/hotels-canada and will be effective on the effective date specified in the notice. The most current version of these Terms will be available on the website reserved for such and will supersede all previous versions of these Terms, except as otherwise specified. Your continued access to, or use of the Gift Card following any such Changes confirms your acceptance of these Terms, as amended by those Changes. If you do not agree to these Terms or any Changes made to these Terms, you must stop accessing and using the Gift Card.
Despite any other section that refers to our right to change or modify these Terms, if you are a resident of Quebec or Ontario, we reserve the right to make Changes to the Terms from time to time but no more than once every six (6) months. If we make Changes to the Terms, in addition to posting the amended terms on [mycardterms.com/hotels-canada], we will also provide you thirty (30) days' advance notice of such Changes in accordance with applicable law ("Notice"). Upon receiving the Notice, you may refuse the Changes and cancel these Terms by sending us a notice to that effect as indicated in the Notice. If you do not notify us within that time, the Changes will take effect on the date indicated in the Notice. In that case, you will be deemed to agree to the Changes which will apply to all access to and use of the Gift Cards thereafter and will become part of these Terms. For Quebec residents only, if the amended Terms entail an increase in your obligations or a reduction in Card Issuer’s obligations, you may send us a notice within thirty (30) days after the amended Terms come into force to indicate your refusal of the amended Terms and to request the termination of the Terms without cost or penalty.
For Quebec residents only, if the amended Terms entail an increase in your obligations or a reduction in Card Issuer’s obligations, you may send us a notice thirty (30) days after the amended Terms come into force to indicate your refusal of the amended Terms and to request the termination of the Terms without cost or penalty.
