Tips On Gift Account Use (FAQs)

Your Phillips 66® Gift Account should provide an enjoyable experience at participating Phillips 66®, Conoco® and 76® locations.  Use of your Gift Account will be facilitated by the following Tips On Gift Account Use which are designed to address Frequently Asked Questions. Remember that your Gift Account is issued by the Gift Account Issuer. For information about the Gift Account, see Card Issuer.

Your Gift Account is a limited-use and limited-value payment instrument that is only redeemable up to its balance to make purchases of goods and services only at participating Phillips 66®, Conoco®, and 76® stores. Your Gift Account is designed so that you may transfer one or more of your Retailer Branded Gift Cards into one Gift Account for your convenient future use. Your Gift Account may be used only via the Fuel Forward® App. You must download the Fuel Forward® App prior to the use of a Gift Account.

Remember that your Gift Account is subject to terms and conditions that govern its use (the "Gift Account Terms"). For the complete set of terms and conditions, see Full Gift Account Terms.

Fuel Forward® App users will have the capability to consolidate multiple gift card balances into a single Gift Account, enhancing both usability and accessibility. Upon activation of their Gift Account within the wallet, all subsequent eligible gift cards will be deposited directly into this account, rather than being added as separate entries in the mobile wallet.

For users who do not have the Fuel Forward® yet, download the Fuel Forward® App, set up your account, and activate your gift card by navigating to "Wallet" > “ADD” > “Gift Cards” and following the instructions.

If you already have existing gift cards in the wallet, from the Home screen > tap "Wallet" > choose a gift card > then tap the red “Transfer To Gift Card Balance” button and follow the prompts. Users who do not have eligible gift cards (not in CIMI2510 program) will have the following message within their gift card payment detail screen: “This gift card is not eligible for transfer to the Gift Card Balance Account, but it can still be used for future purchases.” In that case, from the Home screen > tap "Wallet" > “ADD” > “Gift Cards” and follow the instructions.

Once you activate your Gift Account it will show up right away in your in-app wallet so you can start using it instantly. If you do not see the funds in your Gift Account, you can contact Retailer’s customer service by emailing consumerservices@p66.com or calling 1-800-527-5476.

Issuer reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time in its discretion for the limited purposes (a) of making modifications, if any, regarding redemption limitations, (b) to define modifications in limitations of use, (c) to describe courses of action in the event the Gift Account program is terminated, (d) to clarify existing terms and conditions, (e) to address changes in information such as links, or (f) to implement other changes made in good faith provided that such other changes do not include (i) the addition of an expiration date, (ii) the application of new fees regarding the use or non-use of the Gift Accounts, (iii) a change to the Arbitration Agreement, or (iv) a change to this Change in Terms clause. Notice of changes will be provided to Gift Account Holder at the Gift Account Holder Notices. Additionally, changes will be made to the text of Full Terms and Conditions published at that website. The most current version of these Terms will be available at that website and supersede previous versions of these Terms, except as otherwise specified.

You agree that, to the extent permitted by applicable law, we may provide notice to you, including disclosures and amendments required under these Terms, by notices posted on the Gift Account Holder Notices tab for updates.

You have the ability to download the terms and conditions that govern your Gift Account. This button is located at the bottom of the Full Gift Account Terms page. When you click on that button you have the ability to save the Terms as a PDF or print them.

Remember that you must safeguard and keep secure your Gift Account and protect others from gaining access to the Gift Account. The funds in your Gift Account will not be replaced or replenished if the Gift Account is used without authorization. In that regard, you should safeguard the Gift Account credentials.

Remember that, as specified in the Gift Account Terms, the Issuer and Phillips 66 reserve the right to assert all available remedies in the event of suspected abuse or fraud. Such remedies include, without limitation, the blocking or freezing by the Issuer of the Gift Account from use or refusal by the Issuer to honor funds in the Gift Account. Physical and digital Gift Cards may be purchased online at https://phillips66.ourgiftcards.com/. Physical Gift Cards may also be purchased at participating Phillips 66®, Conoco® and 76® locations.

A Gift Account may be opened with a maximum amount of $500. Your Gift Account may be reloaded from time to time by you, provided that the aggregated value your Gift Account shall not exceed a total value of $2,000 in any given day. Your Gift Account cannot be funded with funds from any source other that an approved Retailer Branded Gift Card. Once the funds associated with the Retailer Branded Gift Card have been placed into the Gift Account, the funds will no longer be accessible on the physical Retailer Branded Gift Card.

Your Gift Account may not be refunded, returned, or redeemed for cash or currency, except to the extent required by law. With respect to redemptions required by state law, see the tip below on Cash Redemptions.

Your Gift Account may be reloaded from time to time by you, provided that the aggregated value your Gift Account shall not exceed a total value of $2,000 in any given day. The Gift Account is valid for payment only at participating Phillip 66®, 76®, and Conoco® locations via the Fuel Forward® App, either at the pump or in-store. See also the Limitations on Use specified in the section below. Your Gift Account is usable only up to the available balance of the Gift Account. If you want to use your Gift Account to make purchases in excess of the balance, then you must combine the use of the Gift Account with another acceptable form of payment. Your Gift Account does not expire, but it may be deactivated by us if there is no activity on the Gift Account within 365 days after a zero balance. Deactivated Gift Accounts cannot be used by you. Contact Customer Service for inquiries about reactivation. Additional limitations on your use of the Gift Account may apply. Using your Gift Account works just like using an electronic gift card or any other payment method in your Fuel Forward® wallet. When you get to the station, open the Fuel Forward® App and tap the red “PAY” button on the Home Screen. Then, follow the instructions to choose your pump or create a QR code for in-store payment.

Remember that your Gift Account funds are usable or redeemable to purchase goods and/or services only at participating Phillips 66®, Conoco® and 76® locations and/or on acceptable devices via the Fuel Forward® App. Your Gift Account is not redeemable with any other merchant. Remember that your Gift Account is limited to use at participating Phillips 66®, Conoco® and 76® locations and/or on acceptable devices via the Fuel Forward® App. You cannot use the Gift Account to purchase Gift Cards, including other Phillips 66 Gift Cards. Your Gift Account may be used only via the Fuel Forward® App. You must download the Fuel Forward® App prior to the use of a Gift Account. The Fuel Forward® App is available only on devices meeting specified Operating System requirements. To see if a device meets requirements, go to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, search for the Fuel Forward® App and review the compatibility and requirements section before buying a digital Gift Account for yourself or others. If the applicable device does not meet specifications, then do not order a digital Gift Account. Your use of your Gift Account to purchase via the Fuel Forward® App will be subject to separate terms and conditions that govern online shopping and Fuel Forward® App purchases. Those terms and conditions are separate from these Terms and may be found at Phillips 66 Terms and Conditions. You cannot open or create a Gift Account from the Fuel Forward® App without a Gift Card.

Your Gift Account may not be refunded, returned, or redeemed for cash or currency, except to the extent required by law. If cash redemption is required by law, then you agree (to the extent permitted by law) that the payment may be made by cash, check, or an electronic funds transfer as such method is selected by Issuer.

Remember that your Gift Account is usable to make "card not present" purchases. That means you may use the card to make purchases via the Fuel Forward® App.

You can view your Gift Account balance in the Fuel Forward® App. If you cannot view the balance in the App, you can reach out to the Retailer’s customer support team by emailing consumerservices@p66.com, calling 1-800-527-5476, or contacting Stored Value Solutions’ customer support at 844-571-1729.

Your Gift Account balance will be reduced by each authorized redemption or as otherwise provided in the terms and conditions except as prohibited by law.

Remember that if you use your Gift Account balance to make a purchase for less than the available balance of the Gift Account, the remaining balance will not be paid in cash to you, unless a cash payment is otherwise required by law. See the Tip on Cash Redemptions above.

Remember that if you use your Gift Account to make a purchase that exceeds the available balance of the Gift Account, you will be responsible for the balance due, or the transaction may be declined. If you wish to use the Gift Account to make a purchase that exceeds the available balance in the Gift Account, you must combine the use of the Gift Account with another acceptable form of payment, such as another payment card.

Remember that other establishments (like hotels, gas stations and car renters) also use prepayment “holds” when Gift Account funds are used at their establishments in conjunction with advance preauthorized payments. For example, a gas station may ask that a “hold” be placed on a Gift Account used to prepay at the pump for gas. A car rental company may ask that a “hold” be placed on a Gift Account if the Gift Account is provided to the company in conjunction with prepayment for a rented car. The amount of the “hold” in these circumstances may be in an amount estimated to cover the goods or service. If the available balance in your Gift Account is not sufficient to cover the estimated amount for the goods or service, the transaction may be declined. If the available balance is sufficient, a “hold” may be placed for several days on the available balance in the amount of the estimated cost of the goods or services. During that time period, the Gift Account owner will not be able to use the amount that was placed on “hold” even if the estimated amount exceeds the actual cost of the goods or service.

Remember that your Gift Account is not subject to fees that will be charged or assessed against the balance of the Gift Account.

Your Gift Account balance does not expire, but your Gift Account may be deactivated by us if there is no activity on the Gift Account within 365 days after a zero balance. However, your Gift Account may be subject to escheat to an appropriate state or territory if and as required by applicable unclaimed property laws. For information about escheat and unclaimed property, visit www.unclaimed.org. If escheat occurs, you may inquire about the status of your Gift Account by contacting us at customerservice@cimicard.com or 855.971.7430.

Your Gift Account balance does not expire, but it is subject to a valid thru date if there is no activity on the Gift Account within 365 days after a zero balance. In that case you may lose the ability to use your Gift Account subject to the right to reactivation.

Remember that if you have not used your Gift Account within a time period set by state law, the unused Gift Account balance may or may not be required to escheat under various state unclaimed property statutes. These time periods set by state law usually are two-year, three-year or five-year periods for Gift Cards and related properties. If the remaining balance of your Gift Account becomes unclaimed property subject to a state's unclaimed property law, then the Issuer may be required to escheat the Gift Account balance to the state in an amount and at the time required by the state law. At that time, you may lose the ability to use your Gift Account. If this occurs, you may inquire about the status of your Gift Account by contacting us. See Contact Us. Remember that if you use your Gift Account to purchase goods or services, the returns or exchanges of such purchased merchandise, if any, shall be subject to and limited to the policies set by the selling merchant for returns and exchanges of its sold merchandise. Refunds regarding merchandise purchased with your Gift Account, if any, will be governed by the policies of Phillips 66®, Conoco® and 76® stations as the sellers of the merchandise.
